Next to religion, society is the most self-centered, destructive organism ever created. Thinking back to how things were a few hundred years ago, religion was an awesome power, more powerful than royalty and government. A cult of self-centered, heartless, greedy people forcing their beliefs on others, forcing them to conform and comply with those beliefs which were generally in place for the sole purpose of benefiting themselves. With the draining of religion's dominance causing their downfall to a more controllable and even ignorable presence, came the evolution of society, now occupying the throne that religion once held. Society now dictates and forces how to live your life.
You must pay taxes, you must have insurance when you drive, you cannot drink and drive, you must only have one husband or wife, etc, etc, etc… an infinite amount of rules created for the “good” of society… or more accurately an infinite amount of rules created by the majority of society to serve themselves. So, what happens when an individual does not fit into the mold of society or its beliefs? Rumors, harassment, police involvement, generally making life more unbearable, destroying everything they have, dignity, friendships, loyalties, reputations, family, business, everything… and for what? Because you’re different. Society isn’t just the replacement of religion on the throne of power, but its also the evolution of discrimination.

Example1:

Auto insurance companies take and take and take and take… you pay into it endlessly, you can pay into it for 20 years and then if you have an accident, you make a claim and once you make a claim, your premiums go up. What happened to all that other money over the past 20 years? Did that mean nothing? What about the spotless driving record? Did that mean nothing? Exactly… it means nothing… any reason for them to squeeze more money out of you and they jump all over it. So, stay on top of the game, don’t get insurance, put money into the bank every month and save it, collect interest on it… and when an accident does happen, you use the money you’ve accumulated to pay for it, right? Wrong… it’s illegal. You have no choice but to let the insurance companies steal from you as dictated by society. Why? It protects the majority of society… not the individual who’s getting robbed, but the majority of society (keeping in mind that the majority of society can afford to be bled out by the insurance companies). This is a true example I’m sure most people know of someone like this.

Example2:

A 40 year old woman has a relationship with a 16 year old boy. What happens? Society becomes disgusted. The age of sexual consent is 14 in Canada, in some cases 16 so this relationship is perfectly legal. Why did it happen? Who knows? Perhaps the 40 year old woman was attracted to 16 year olds when she was 16 and just because she aged, does that mean the age of what attracts her must change? She’s only supposed to be attracted to 40 year olds now? Tell that to Tom Cruise. Perhaps she was attracted to his energy, his vitality, his humor, his view on the world being yet untainted by the dark poison of society. What did he see in her? Perhaps his tastes are more mature for his age. Perhaps he sees knowledge, wisdom, life experience making her more of a genuine person with none of the childish head games. Who knows what they see in other? What does two 25 year olds see in each other? It makes no difference, the issue is it’s wrong and not permitted. It is by the government… it is by the justice system.. but it’s not by society… therefore it HAS to be wrong… yeah.. right. BUT… what if… the 40 year old was a man and the 16 year old was a girl? No difference right? WRONG! It’s still perfectly legal, but now society says he’s a pedophile and the young girl doesn’t know what she’s doing… she’s too innocent and he must be luring her with alcohol or drugs or something… so the police will be called, rumors will be started, anything and everything to destroy his life and in doing so, destroying the young girls reputation and possibly her life too… and for what? No good reason at all. Now, what if… there was no intimate relationship? What if they were just friends, almost like family? And what if there were 3 girls? Or 4 or 5 girls? And the man and the 5 girls were just close friends, almost like family… does that make a difference? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Why you ask? Because society dictates that anything that is different has to be wrong and therefore something wrong must be going on and when society dictates that something wrong must be going on, they search everywhere for it, sacrificing their own dignity and reputation as well as the lives of everyone involved… and if they don’t find anything, they create it. Pedophilia, alcohol abuse, drug abuse, child pornography, anything and everything that their sick and twisted minds can conceive could be happening, becomes their reality. They don’t ask anyone the situation, they don’t try to find out the truth… they simply create their own truth, act on it and destroy everyone around them. This is also a true example happening right now in Kincardine, Ontario.

Example3:

A man or woman can not have one or more spouse. Yes, this is the law… because society wanted it to be law. Seriously now… if a man falls in love and decides he wants to marry 2 or 3 or however many women, why should that be wrong as long as each of the women understand the situation and agree to it? And if one woman wants 5 or 6 husbands, as long as all are in agreement, what’s wrong with it? Nothing that I can see… but then, I’m much more laid back and open minded than the average person. But despite what I think or what you think… society’s dictatorship overrules all again.

Ultimately... with all the freedoms we are given in this country and on this planet, noone actually has any freedom. Freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom to live your own life, none of it exists. Most believe it because society says it's true. But sit down and think about it, freedom is an illusion thanks to society. The only true freedom we have is freedom of thought, and I suspect we won't have that for much longer either.
