"TIME TRAVEL"

Is time travel possible? In my opinion, time travel isn’t possible and never will be. Why? If you believe in the “Millennium” theory of time travel, where every change in the past would ripple through the timeline making all related changes virtually instantly, then if someone were to travel back in time, us being humans and immensely flawed, something would have gone wrong at some point and there would be evidence of it… a Timex watch found in the 1800s, a pair of Raybans dug up in ancient Egypt… something like that. If you believe in the “Back To The Future” theory on time travel, where every change in the past would instantly create an alternate timeline stemming from the moment someone landed back in the past, then main timeline we all live in would still exist to all of us, but the person who traveled back would no longer be able to return to it.. They would instead travel forward through time along the alternate timeline. Therefore, if I secretly made a time machine and traveled back into the past, there would be no ripple effect and I would never be able to return to this timeline… as far as everyone knew… I just vanished. Therefore, since I could never return, there’s still been no evidence that time travel is possible.

Now, what about temporal viewing? Is it possible to see into the past? Or see into the future? Perhaps… but… what would be the result of that? Perhaps… if you saw into the future, then perhaps that future would be unavoidable now?! In a very old episode of “Fantasy Island”, a woman had a ring that let her see into her future. She used the ring in a casino to cheat on roulette and won a fortune. On occasion, she saw visions of her coffin in a church. She eventually decided it was too scary and she ran, jumped into her car and drove… her car broke down outside an old church. Being the only building around, she went inside the church only to see her own coffin and the Casino owner explained that she won too much and he couldn’t afford to pay her so he had to kill her. In this example, seeing her future made her future inevitable… unknowingly, everything she did were stepping stones inevitably and unavoidably leading up to the future she saw. She couldn’t alter it. Would this happen if we were able to? Ponder it some…
